USB scanners only. Works on Win 95, 98, 2000, ME and XP. 1) Unzip and install the software 2) Reboot the computer 3) Plug the scanner into the USB port If this doesn't work the first time - uninstall the software and try again. Usually works by the 3rd time. After this, go to the Umax website and download the update. Good Luck
