Also works on Win 2000 & 98 USB Scanners ONLY. Extract the file to a folder. Install the software. Shut down your computer connect the scanner and reboot. XP should locate the device by itself. If it doesn't work the first time. Unplug the scanner. Uninstall the software. Reboot your computer WITHOUT the software or hardware connected. Try again. Takes 2 - 3 tries, but works great once you get it installed. WARNING - If you are running XP - use the XP Scanner software not the Vistascan. It is not compatible with XP and will lock up your computer.
