If you've installed Windows XP and can't get your Linotype Jade working, you need to install this registry entry to stop XP from looking for new hardware everytime you boot. Also you need an aspi driver because XP doesn't come with it. Get it from Adaptec. Or if you have a LSI Logic/Symbios SCSI card, get it from them. After you've done that, you can now install your favourite Scanner software. Vuescan from www.hamrick.com is excellent or you can use Colorfactory Pro that came with your scanner (version 2.04 works. Don't know about others). Curse no longer and bring that decent scanner back to life!
